Tafsir al-Qur'an al-'Aziz by Ibn Abi Zamanin
Volume 3 · Page 4737

Translation · EN

"Nor walk on the earth" meaning: upon the earth, "exultantly" as the polytheists walk.

Muhammad said: The root of al-marah (exultation) is the movement of insolence and vanity. "Indeed, you will never tear the earth" with your foot when you walk, "nor will you reach the mountains in height."
