Translation · EN

"So have patience over what they say," that you are a sorcerer, that you are a poet, that you are possessed, that you are a soothsayer, and that you are a liar. "And exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun," Qatada said: meaning the dawn prayer (Fajr). "And before its setting," meaning Dhuhr and Asr. "And during periods of the night," meaning the hours of the night. "And exalt [Him]," meaning Maghrib and Isha. [Muhammad said]: The singular of ana' (periods) is ina'. "And at the ends of the day," Al-Hasan said: meaning the voluntary prayers. "That you might be satisfied," meaning: so that you may be satisfied in the Hereafter with the reward of your deeds.
