﴿فَمَا زَالَت تِلْكَ دَعوَاهُم﴾ أَيْ: فَمَا زَالَ ذَلِكَ قَوْلُهُمْ؛ يَعْنِي: ﴿يَا وَيْلَنَا إِنَّا كُنَّا ظالمين﴾. ﴿حَتَّى جعلناهم حصيدا خامدين﴾ أَي: قد هَلَكُوا وَسَكنُوا.
