"On the Day you see it, every nursing mother will be distracted (tadh-hal)" - meaning: will turn away - "from what she was nursing" (al-Hajj: 2), and so on.
Yahya [narrated] from Abu al-Ashhab, from al-Hasan, who said: While the Messenger of Allah was on a journey and the travel had caused his companions to be dispersed, he raised his voice and said: "O mankind, fear your Lord. Indeed, the convulsion of the Hour is a terrible thing" until he reached his saying: "but the punishment of Allah is severe" (al-Hajj: 2). When they heard the voice of their Prophet, they flocked towards him. He then said: "Do you know what day that is?" They said: "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said: "That is a day on which Allah will say to Adam: 'O Adam, arise and send forth the contingent of the Fire.' He will ask: 'O Lord, and what is the contingent of the Fire?' He will say: 'From every thousand, nine hundred and ninety-nine people to the Fire, and one to Paradise.'" ﴿يَوْم ترونها تذهل﴾ أَيْ: تُعْرِضُ ﴿كُلُّ مُرْضِعَةٍ عَمَّا أرضعت﴾ الْآيَة.
يَحْيَى: عَنْ أَبِي الأَشْهَبِ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ: " بَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ فِي مَسِيرٍ لَهُ قَدْ فَرَّقَ بَيْنَ أَصْحَابِهِ السَّيْرُ؛ إِذْ رفع صَوته فَقَالَ: ﴿يَا أَيهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُوا رَبَّكُمْ إِنَّ زَلْزَلَةَ السَّاعَةِ شَيْءٌ عَظِيمٌ﴾ حَتَّى انْتَهَى إِلَى قَوْلُهُ: ﴿وَلَكِنَّ عَذَابَ اللَّهِ شَدِيد﴾ فَلَمَّا سَمِعُوا صَوْتَ نَبِيِّهِمُ اعْصَوْصَبُوا بِهِ. فَقَالَ: هَلْ تَدْرُونَ أَيُّ يَوْمٍ ذَاكُمْ؟ قَالُوا: اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ. قَالَ: ذَاكُمْ يَوْمٌ يَقُولُ اللَّهُ لِآدَمَ: يَا آدَمُ، قُمِ ابْعَثْ بَعْثَ النَّارِ. فَيَقُولُ: يَا رَبِّ وَمَا بَعْثُ النَّارِ؟ قَالَ: من كل ألف تِسْعمائَة وَتِسْعَةٌ وَتِسْعُونَ إِنْسَانًا إِلَى النَّارِ وَوَاحِدٌ إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ. فَلَمَّا سَمِعُوا مَا قَالَ نَبِيُّهُمْ أُبْلِسُوا حَتَّى مَا يُجْلِي رَجُلٌ مِنْهُمْ عَنْ وَاضِحَةٍ، فَلَمَّا رَأَى ذَلِكَ فِي
