“And whoever associates partners with God,” the verse. Al-Hasan said: God compared the deeds of the polytheists to one who falls from the sky, so the birds snatch him away, and he does not reach the earth, “or the wind sweeps him into a far-off place,” meaning: distant, so he disappears and has no basis found, nor any trace seen of him. He says: There is no stability for the deeds of the polytheists with God, and they have no good with Him in the Hereafter.
﴿وَمن يُشْرك بِاللَّه﴾ الْآيَةُ، قَالَ الْحَسَنُ: شَبَّهَ اللَّهُ أَعْمَالَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ بِالَّذِي يَخِرُّ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ؛ فَتَخْطَفُهُ الطَّيْرُ، فَلَا يَصِلُ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ ﴿أَوْ تَهْوِي بِهِ الرّيح فِي مَكَان سحيق﴾ بَعِيدٍ، فَيَذْهَبُ فَلَا يُوْجَدُ لَهُ أَصْلٌ، وَلَا يُرَى لَهُ أَثَرٌ. يَقُولُ: لَيْسَتْ لِأَعْمَالِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ قَرَارٌ لَهُمْ بِهِ عِنْدَهُ خير فِي الْآخِرَة.
