He said: "So when their sides have fallen (wajib)," meaning: they have collapsed in death. "Then eat of them and feed the qani' (satisfied/beggar) and the mu'tarr (the one who approaches)." Al-Hasan said: The qani' is the one who asks, and the mu'tarr is the one who presents himself and comes forward if given something.
Muhammad said: It is said: qana'a yaqna'u (to beg), and qani'a yaqna'u (to be content). The mu'tarr is the one who 'ya'tarika' (approaches you); meaning: he draws near so that you may give him something without asking.
التَّسْمِيَةِ عَلَى نَحْرِهَا أَحَدٌ. وَقَدْ ذَكَرَ يَحْيَى هَذِهِ الْقِرَاءَاتِ وَلَمْ يُلَخِّصْهَا هَذَا التَّلْخِيصَ.
قَالَ: ﴿فَإِذَا وَجَبت جنوبها﴾ أَي: أسقطت لِلْمَوْتِ ﴿فَكُلُوا مِنْهَا وَأَطْعِمُوا الْقَانِعَ والمعتر﴾ قَالَ الْحَسَنُ: الْقَانِعُ: السَّائِلُ، وَالْمُعْتَرُّ: الَّذِي يَتَعَرَّضُ وَيُقْبِلُ إِنْ أُعْطِي شَيْئًا.
قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ: يُقَالُ: قَنَعَ يَقْنَعُ مِنَ السُّؤَالِ، وَقَنِعَ يَقْنَعُ مِنَ الرِّضَا وَالْمُعْتَرُّ: الَّذِي يَعْتَرِيكَ؛ أَيْ: يُلِمُّ لِتُعْطِيَهُ وَلَا يَسْأَلُ.
