"Indeed, Allah defends those who have believed." Al-Hasan's interpretation: He defends them, protecting them from Satan [in their religion]. "Indeed, Allah does not like everyone treacherous and ungrateful."
﴿إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُدَافِعُ عَنِ الَّذِينَ آمنُوا﴾ تَفْسِيرُ الْحَسَنِ: يُدَافِعُ عَنْهُمْ، فَيَعْصِمُهُمْ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ [فِي دِينِهِمْ] ﴿إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ خَوَّانٍ كَفُورٍ﴾.
