Translation · EN

"And those who disbelieve will not cease to be in doubt about it" [meaning: in skepticism; that is: about the Qur'an] "until the Hour comes to them suddenly" [meaning: those upon whom the Hour will be established, those who follow] (fol. 224) the religion of Abu Jahl and [his companions] "or there comes to them the punishment of a barren day" meaning: the punishment of the Day of Badr.

Muhammad said: [The root of 'al-'uqm' (barrenness)] is in childbirth; it is said: a barren woman, and a barren man, if one does not conceive children. And a barren wind is one that does not bring [clouds to cause rain].
