Translation · EN

"Those who race to do good deeds" (Quran 23:61). Al-Hasan said: Meaning, in that which Allah has made obligatory upon them. "And they are for them predecessors" (Quran 23:61), meaning: they are the ones who precede in doing good deeds.

﴿أُولَئِكَ يُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْخيرَات﴾ قَالَ الْحَسَنُ: يَعْنِي: فِيمَا افْتَرَضَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ ﴿وَهُمْ لَهَا سَابِقُونَ﴾ أَي: وهم بالخيرات سَابِقُونَ.
