Tafsir al-Qur'an al-'Aziz by Ibn Abi Zamanin
Volume 3 · Page 76091

Translation · EN

“Allah has not taken any son, nor is there any deity with Him; otherwise, each deity would have taken away what it created” (23:91). He says: If there were gods with Him, then each god would have taken away what it created. “And some of them would have sought to overcome others” (23:91). He says: Some of them would have sought the dominion of others until one overcame the other, just as the kings of the world do.
