"And We have certainly honored the children of Adam," meaning: We have favored the children of Adam over beasts, predators, and vermin. "And We have provided them with good things," meaning: good food and drink. Thus, He made their provision better than the provision of beasts, birds, and the jinn.
﴿وَلَقَد كرمنا بني آدم﴾ أَيْ: فَضَّلْنَا بَنِي آدَمَ عَلَى الْبَهَائِمَ وَالسِّبَاعِ وَالْهَوَامَّ ﴿وَرَزَقْنَاهُمْ مِنَ الطَّيِّبَات﴾ يَعْنِي: طَيِّبَاتِ الطَّعَامِ وَالشَّرَابِ؛ فَجَعَلَ رِزْقَهُمْ أَطْيَبَ مِنْ رِزْقِ الدَّوَابِّ وَالطير وَالْجِنّ.
