[And Allah has created every living creature from water], meaning: the seminal drop. [And of them are those that move on their bellies], the snake. [And of them are those that walk on two legs, and of them are those that walk on four. Allah creates what He wills], meaning: and among them are those that walk on more than that.
﴿وَاللَّهُ خَلَقَ كُلَّ دَابَّةٍ مِنْ مَاء﴾ يَعْنِي: النُّطْفَةَ ﴿فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَمْشِي على بَطْنه﴾ الْحَيَّةُ ﴿وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَمْشِي عَلَى رِجْلَيْنِ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَمْشِي عَلَى أَرْبَعٍ يَخْلُقُ اللَّهُ مَا يَشَاءُ﴾ أَيْ: وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَمْشِي عَلَى أَكثر من ذَلِك.
