{This}—meaning the Quran—{is nothing but a fabrication}—a lie—{which he has invented}—he has forged; meaning Muhammad—{and other people have helped him with it}. Al-Kalbi said: They mean 'Abd ibn al-Hadrami and Addas, the slave of Utba. He said: {They have indeed brought an injustice}—meaning shirk (polytheism)—{and a falsehood}—a lie.
(Folio 238) Muhammad said: The accusative case (nasb) of {injustice and falsehood} is based on the meaning: They have indeed brought (with) injustice and falsehood. When the 'ba' (preposition) was omitted, the verb became transitive and was placed in the accusative case.
