"The Day they see the angels"—this is at the time of death—"there will be no good tidings that Day for the criminals," [meaning] for the polytheists regarding Paradise, "and they will say, 'Hijāran mahjūran' [an inviolable ban]." The interpretation of Qatādah is: Forbidden, strictly prohibited for the disbelievers are the good tidings on that Day of Paradise.
﴿يَوْم يرَوْنَ الْمَلَائِكَة﴾ وَهَذَا عِنْدَ الْمَوْتِ ﴿لَا بُشْرَى يَوْمئِذٍ للمجرمين﴾ للْمُشْرِكين بِالْجنَّةِ ﴿وَيَقُولُونَ حجرا محجوزا﴾ تَفْسِيرُ قَتَادَةَ: حَرَامًا مُحَرَّمًا عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ الْبُشْرَى يَوْمَئِذٍ بِالْجَنَّةِ.
