Translation · EN

"Indeed, it is evil as a settlement and as a residence [mustaqarran wa muqama]," meaning: it is an evil place of settlement and a dwelling place.

Muhammad said: "Mustaqarran" and "muqama" are in the accusative case [mansuban] as a specification [tamyiz]; the meaning is: it is evil in terms of settlement and residence.

﴿إِنَّهَا ساءت مُسْتَقرًّا ومقاما﴾ أَيْ: بِئْسَ الْمُسْتَقَرُّ هِيَ وَالْمَنْزِلُ.

قَالَ مُحَمَّد: (مُسْتَقرًّا ومقاما) مَنْصُوبَانِ عَلَى التَّمْيِيزِ؛ الْمَعْنَى: أَنَّهَا ساءت فِي المستقر وَالْمقَام.
