"And those who do not witness falsehood," which is idolatry (shirk), "and when they pass by vain talk," which is falsehood and that which the polytheists are engaged in, "they pass by with dignity," meaning: they are not part of it.
﴿وَالَّذين لَا يشْهدُونَ الزُّور﴾ الشّرك ﴿وَإِذا مروا بِاللَّغْوِ﴾ الْبَاطِلِ وَهُو مَا فِيهِ الْمُشْرِكُونَ ﴿مروا كراما﴾ أَي: لَيْسُوا من أَهله
