"And those who say, 'Our Lord, grant us from among our spouses and our offspring comfort for our eyes,' meaning: that they see them obedient to Allah, 'and make us a model for the righteous,' such that we are followed in goodness."
﴿وَالَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ﴾ أَيْ: يَرَوْنَهُمْ مُطِيعِينَ لِلَّهِ ﴿وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتقين إِمَامًا﴾ يؤتم بِنَا فِي الْخَيْر.
