"A-inna lamudinu" (Are we then to be requited/called to account?); meaning: we shall neither be resurrected nor held to account.
Yahya said: They are the two [individuals] mentioned in Surah al-Kahf, in His saying: "And present to them an example of two men: We granted to one of them two gardens," until the end of their story.
﴿أئنا لمدينون﴾ لمحاسبون؛ أَي: لَا نُبْعَثُ وَلَا نُحَاسب.
قَالَ يحيى: وهما اللَّذَان فِي سُورَة الْكَهْف فِي قَوْله: ﴿وَاضْرِبْ لَهُمْ مَثَلا رَجُلَيْنِ جَعَلْنَا لأَحَدِهِمَا جَنَّتَيْنِ﴾ إِلَى آخر قصتهما.
