In the exegesis of al-Hasan, he said: Allah said to the Prophet: {Say: 'Wait, for I am with you among those who wait.'} They were waiting for the Prophet to die, and the Prophet was waiting for the punishment to come to them.
And {the misfortune of time} in the exegesis of Mujahid: the events of time.
Muhammad said: 'Al-Manun' (misfortune) according to the linguists is 'al-dahr' (time), and its 'rayb' (misfortune) are its events, pains, and calamities. The Arabs say: 'I will not speak to you for the rest of time.' Some cited the verse of Abu Dhu'ayb:
'Are you grieving over misfortune and its calamities? For time does not appease the one who laments.'
Meaning: Are you grieving over time and its calamities?!
Exegesis of Surat al-Tur from verse 32 to verse 43.
