fruit was like the water-jars of Hajar. And there were four rivers emerging [from its base: two internal and two external]. I asked: O Gabriel, what are these rivers? He replied: As for the two internal ones, they are two rivers in Paradise, [and as for the two external ones], they are the Nile and the Euphrates."
نَبقها مثل قِلَال هَجَر، وَإِذا أَرْبَعَة أَنهَار يخرجُون [من أَصْلهَا نهران] باطنان [ونهران ظاهران]، قلت: يَا جِبْرِيل، مَا هَذِه الْأَنْهَار؟ فَقَالَ: أما الباطنان فنهران فِي الْجنَّة [واما الظاهران] (ل ٣٤٣) فالنيل والفرات ".
