"Then We opened the gates of the heaven with rain pouring down," some of it falling upon the other, and it is not mere rain.
Muhammad said: It is said 'hamara al-rajulu' (the man poured) if he spoke excessively and rapidly.
﴿فَفَتَحْنَا أَبْوَابَ السَّمَاءِ بِمَاءٍ مُنْهَمِرٍ﴾ بعضه على بعض وَلَيْسَ بمطر.
قَالَ محمدٌ: يُقَال: همَر الرجُلُ إِذا أَكثر من الْكَلَام وأسرع.
