"And We carried him," meaning Noah, "upon a structure of planks and nails." The dusur (nails) refers to the nails, according to the tafsir of Qatadah.
Muhammad said: Its singular is disar, like the form of himar and humur.
﴿وحملناه﴾ يَعْنِي: نوحًا ﴿عَلَى ذَاتِ أَلْوَاحٍ﴾ يَعْنِي: السَّفِينَة ﴿ودسر﴾ الدُّسُر: المسامير؛ فِي تَفْسِير قَتَادَة.
قَالَ محمدٌ: وَاحِدهَا دِسارٌ، مثل حمَار وحمر.
