His statement: "out of gratitude," meaning: those who believed.

Muhammad said: You say, "I came to so-and-so at dawn (saharan)," meaning: one of the dawns. If you mean the dawn of your day, you say, "I came to him at dawn (bi-sahar)," or "I came to him at dawn (sahara)," and its declension is as an adverb of time.

"A blessing from Us," meaning: We saved them by bestowing a blessing upon them.
