"{And the foremost, the foremost.}" Al-Hasan's interpretation: The foremost are the Companions of the Prophet (ﷺ) and the companions of the [previous] prophets.
﴿وَالسَّابِقُونَ السَّابِقُونَ﴾ تَفْسِير الْحسن: السَّابِقُونَ أَصْحَاب النَّبِي ﷺ وأصحابُ الْأَنْبِيَاء
