"And banana trees (or acacia trees) layered" (Wa talhin mandud), meaning: one on top of the other. By "talh," he means the trees that are on the road to Mecca. Mujahid said: They used to admire the valley of Wajj and its shade from the acacia and lote trees, so they were addressed and promised with the like of what they loved.
