"We have made it a reminder" of the greatest fire, "and a provision for the wayfarers," meaning the travelers who benefit from it; according to the interpretation of al-Hasan.
Muhammad said: The 'muqwin' is one who camps in the 'qawa', which is the desolate, barren land.
﴿نَحن جعلناها تذكرة﴾ للنار الْكُبْرَى ﴿ومتاعا للمقوين﴾ للمسافرين يَنْتَفِعُونَ بهَا؛ فِي تَفْسِير الْحسن.
قَالَ محمدٌ: المقوي: الَّذِي ينزل بالقَوَاء، وَهِي الأَرْض القفر.
