"Are you then neglectful of this discourse?" meaning the Quran. "Neglectful" (mudhinun) means: abandoning it. He says this to the polytheists.

Muhammad said: It is said: 'He was evasive (adhana) in his matter' and 'He was hypocritical (dahana)'; and he is the liar, the hypocrite.
