and ghassaq (fetid discharge), and others of its likeness, of various kinds. It is said to it thus until it departs, then it is ascended with to the sky, and permission is requested for it. It is said: 'Who is this?' They say: 'So-and-so.' It is said: 'No welcome to the evil soul that was in an evil body. Return blameworthy, for it shall not be opened for you!' It is then cast from the sky to the earth, and then it ends up in the grave."
Yahya: From Hammad, from 'Ata ibn Yasar, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi [?] raising it to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that he said: "Whoever loves to meet Allah,"
وَغَسَّاقٌ، وَآخَرُ مِنْ شَكْلِهِ أَزْوَاجٌ، فَيَقُولُونَ ذَلِكَ لَهُ حَتَّى تَخْرُجَ، ثُمَّ يُعْرَجَ بِهَا إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَيُسْتَفْتَحُ لَهَا، فَيُقَالُ: مَنْ هَذَا؟ فَيَقُولُونَ: فُلانُ. فَيُقَالُ: لَا مَرْحَبًا بِالنَّفْسِ الْخَبِيثَةِ كَانَتْ فِي الْجَسَدِ الْخَبِيثِ، ارْجِعِي ذَمِيمَةً، فَإِنَّهُ لَنْ يُفْتَحَ لَكِ! فَتُرْمَى مِنَ السَّمَاءِ إِلَى الأَرْضِ، ثُمَّ تَصِيرُ فِي الْقَبْرِ ".
يَحْيَى: عُنْ حَمَّادٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَن (ل ٣٥٢) بْنِ أَبِي عَنْ يَرْفَعُهُ إِلَى النَّبي ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " مَنْ أَحَبَّ لِقَاءَ اللَّهِ
