"[Those] who are stingy and enjoin upon [other] people stinginess," meaning: the Jews who command their Jewish brethren to be stingy by concealing what they possess of the description of Muhammad and Islam. "And whoever turns away, then indeed Allah is the Free of need," of His creation, "the Praiseworthy," who is deserving of praise from His creation; He has made it incumbent upon them to praise Him.
Interpretation of Surat al-Hadid, verse 25.
﴿الَّذِينَ يَبْخَلُونَ وَيَأْمُرُونَ النَّاسَ بِالْبُخْلِ﴾ يَعْنِي: الْيَهُود يأمرون إخْوَانهمْ الْيَهُود بالبخل، بكتمان مَا فِي أَيْديهم من نعت محمدٍ وَالْإِسْلَام ﴿وَمَنْ يَتَوَلَّ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْغَنِيُّ﴾ عَن خلقه ﴿الحميد﴾ المستحمدُ إِلَى خلقه، اسْتوْجبَ عَلَيْهِم أَن يحمدوه.
