Translation · EN

"Whatever you have cut down of a lina (palm tree) or left standing," the verse. His statement: "By the permission of Allah," meaning: He permitted you to do that and delegated to you the choice to cut down or to leave them. Thus, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) cut down types of date palms on that day other than the 'Ajwa, and he left the 'Ajwa. Ikrimah said: Every type of palm tree that is other than the 'Ajwa is a lina.
