‘anyone regarding you at all.’ The hypocrites say: We will not obey Muhammad and his companions regarding you. ‘And if you are fought, we will surely help you. But Allah testifies that they are liars. If they are expelled, they will not leave with them, and if they are fought, they will not help them; and if they were to help them, they would turn their backs; then they would not be aided.’ The Messenger of Allah subsequently exiled the Banu al-Nadir to the Levant, and they did not leave with them. Then, the Banu Qurayza were killed after that by the judgment of Sa'd ibn Mu'adh, and they did not fight alongside them.
فِيكُمْ أَحَدًا أَبَدًا﴾ يَقُول المُنَافِقُونَ: لَا نطيع فِيكُم مُحَمَّدًا وَأَصْحَابه ﴿وَإِن قُوتِلْتُمْ لَنَنصُرَنَّكُمْ وَاللَّهُ يَشْهَدُ إِنَّهُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَ لَئِنْ أُخْرِجُوا لَا يَخْرُجُونَ مَعَهُمْ وَلَئِن قُوتِلُوا لَا يَنصُرُونَهُمْ وَلَئِن نَّصَرُوهُمْ لَيُوَلُّنَّ الأَدْبَارَ ثُمَّ لَا يُنصَرُونَ﴾ فَأجلى رَسُول الله بني النَّضِير إِلَى الشَّام فَلم يخرجُوا مَعَهم، وَقتل قُرَيْظَة بعد ذَلِك بِحكم سعد بْن معَاذ، فَلم يقاتلوا مَعَهم.
