"O you who have believed, shall I guide you to a trade that will save you from a painful punishment?" al-Kalbi's interpretation: This is a response to their saying, "If we knew which deeds were most beloved to Allah and most pleasing to Him, we would perform them." So Allah said: "O you who have believed, shall I guide you to a trade..." up to His saying: "That is the great success."
﴿يَا أَيهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا هَلْ أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَى تِجَارَةٍ تُنْجِيكُمْ مِنْ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ﴾ تَفْسِير الْكَلْبِيّ: إِن هَذَا جَوَاب لقَولهم: لَو نعلَمُ أحبّ الْأَعْمَال إِلَى اللَّه وأرضاها عِنْده لعملْنا بهَا، فَقَالَ الله: ﴿يَا أَيهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا هَلْ أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَى تِجَارَة﴾ إِلَى قَوْله: ﴿ذَلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ﴾.
