"Then they said: 'Shall human beings guide us?'" in denial of that. "And Allah became independent" of them, "and Allah is Free of need" of His creation, "Praiseworthy," having entitled Himself to their praise.
﴿فَقَالُوا أبشر يهدوننا﴾ إنكارا لذَلِك. ﴿وَاسْتغْنى الله﴾ عَنْهُم ﴿وَالله غَنِي﴾ عَن خلقه ﴿حميد﴾ اسْتوْجبَ عَلَيْهِم أَن يحمدوه.
