His saying: "And statues [tamathil]" means: images made of copper.

Al-Hasan said: Images were not forbidden in those days. "And basins like reservoirs [ka-l-jawabi]" means: large plates like troughs.

Muhammad said: "Al-Jawabi" is the plural of "jabiya."

"And anchored cooking pots [qudur rasiyat]" means: they were fixed in the ground, massive, and not moved from their places. He said: "And few of My servants are grateful" means: the fewest of people are the ones who are grateful.
