Allah said: "So We gave them enjoyment for a time," meaning: until their appointed terms, and He did not destroy them.

قَالَ اللَّه: ﴿فَمَتَّعْنَاهُمْ إِلَى حِينٍ﴾ يَعْنِي: إِلَى آجالهم، وَلم يُهْلِكهُمْ.
