"Except for him who is to burn in the Hellfire" (37:163)—meaning: it was already in My prior knowledge that he would burn in the Hellfire.

Muhammad said: The reading of "sali al-jahim" (burn in the Hellfire) is with a kasrah on the lam, in the sense of "sali" (burning)—with a ya—and the ya is omitted in the Mushaf.
