"And turn away from them" [O Muhammad], "until a time" [referring to their appointed terms; meaning: the day of Badr]. This is abrogated, and the commandment of fighting has abrogated it.
﴿وتول عَنْهُم﴾ [يَا مُحَمَّد] ﴿حَتَّى حِين﴾ إِلَى آجالهم؛ [يُرِيد: يَوْم بدر]، وَهَذَا مَنْسُوخ نسخه الْقِتَال
