Al-Hamim is the boiling water, the heat of which cannot be endured. Abdullah ibn 'Amr said: "And al-ghassaq is the thick pus; if a jar of it were poured in the West, it would cause the people of the East to stink, and if it were poured in the East, it would cause the people of the West to stink."
