"This, so let them taste it, a scalding fluid and a dark, viscous fluid." There is an inversion in this: "This is a scalding fluid and a dark, viscous fluid, so let them taste it." Al-Hamim is the boiling water, the heat of which cannot be endured. Abdullah ibn 'Amr said: "And al-ghassaq is the thick pus; if a jar of it were poured in the West, it would cause the people of the East to stink, and if it were poured in the East, it would cause the people of the West to stink."
﴿هَذَا فليذوقوه حميم وغساق﴾ فِيهَا تقديمٌ: هَذَا حميمٌ وغساقٌ فليذوقوه " الْحَمِيم: الحارُ الَّذِي لَا يُسْتَطاع من حرِّه , قَالَ عبد الله بْن عَمْرو: والغَسَّاق: القيْح الغليظ لَو أَن جَرَّة مِنْهُ تُهراق فِي الْمغرب لأنتنت أهْلَ الْمشرق , وَلَو أَن تهراق فِي الْمشرق لأنتنت أهل الْمغرب
