"If Allah had intended to take a son, He would have chosen"—meaning He would have selected—"from what He creates whatever He wills. Exalted is He"—He declares Himself free from having a son—"the One, the Subjugator"—He has subjugated the servants through death and through whatever He wills of His command.
﴿لَوْ أَرَادَ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَتَّخِذَ ولدا لاصطفى﴾ لاختار ﴿مِمَّا يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَاءُ سُبْحَانَهُ﴾ ينزه نَفسه أَن يكون لَهُ ولد ﴿الْوَاحِد القهار﴾ قهر الْعباد بِالْمَوْتِ وَبِمَا شَاءَ من أمره.
