"For those who did good" [by believing] "in this world, is goodness," meaning: in the Hereafter, which is Paradise. "And the earth of Allah is wide." This is like His saying: "O My servants who have believed, indeed My earth is spacious, so worship Me"—in the land to which He commanded you to migrate, meaning: Medina. "Indeed, the patient will be given"—meaning: those who were patient in the obedience of Allah—"their reward"—Paradise—"without account." He says: There is no reckoning for them in Paradise, like His saying: "They will be provided for therein without account."

﴿للَّذين أَحْسنُوا﴾ آمَنُوا ﴿فِي هَذِهِ الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةٌ﴾ أَي: فِي الْآخِرَة؛ وَهِي الْجنَّة ﴿وَأَرْض الله وَاسِعَة﴾ هُوَ كَقَوْلِه: ﴿يَا عِبَادِيَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّ أَرْضِي وَاسِعَةٌ فَإِيَّايَ فاعبدون﴾ فِي الأَرْض الَّتِي أَمركُم أَن تهاجروا إِلَيْهَا؛ يَعْنِي: الْمَدِينَة ﴿إِنَّمَا يُوفى الصَّابِرُونَ﴾ يَعْنِي: الَّذين صَبَرُوا عَلَى طَاعَة الله ﴿أجرهم﴾ الْجنَّة ﴿بِغَيْر حِسَاب﴾. يَقُول: لَا حِسَاب عَلَيْهِم فِي الْجنَّة، كَقَوْلِه: ﴿يُرْزَقُونَ فِيهَا بِغَيْرِ حِسَاب﴾.
