Tafsir al-Qur'an al-'Aziz by Ibn Abi Zamanin
Volume 4 · Page 33624

Translation · EN

"Is he then who shields himself with his face against the worst of the torment?" meaning: its intensity, for the first thing the fire strikes when he is cast into it is his face; because he is thrown upon his face. "Better than one who comes secure?" meaning: that they are not equal. "And it will be said to the wrongdoers," the polytheists: "Taste what you used to earn," meaning: the recompense for what you used to do.
