"Say, 'Indeed, my Lord extends the provision for whom He wills and restricts [it]," meaning: He straitens it. "But most of the people," meaning: the group of polytheists, "do not know."
Surah Saba', verses 37 through 39.
﴿قُلْ إِنَّ رَبِّي يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لمن يَشَاء وَيقدر﴾ أَي: يقتر ﴿وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ﴾ يَعْنِي: جمَاعَة الْمُشْركين ﴿لَا يعلمُونَ﴾.
