Then He said: "That is because, when Allah was invoked alone, you disbelieved; but if partners were associated with Him, you believed"—meaning: you affirmed the worship of idols.
Interpretation of Surat Ghafir from verse 13 to verse 16.
ثمَّ قَالَ: ﴿ذَلِكُمْ بِأَنَّهُ إِذَا دُعِيَ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ كَفَرْتُمْ وَإِنْ يُشْرك بِهِ تؤمنوا﴾ تصدقوا بِعبَادة الْأَوْثَان.
