yuzawwijuhum (marries them off/pairs them), meaning: He mixes them together.

Muhammad said: The meaning is: He makes some of them male and some of them female. The Arabs say: 'I paired my camels' (zawwajtu ibili) when they bind some of them to others, and 'I paired the young with the old' (zawwajtu al-sighara bil-kibar) when one binds a large one to a small one, and this is what Mujahid intended.
