"Wa la'in sa'altahum" (And if you were to ask them), meaning: the polytheists, "man khalaqas-samawati wal-arda la-yaqulunna khalaqahunnal-'azizul-'alim" (who created the heavens and the earth? They would surely say: The Exalted in Might, the All-Knowing, created them).
﴿وَلَئِن سَأَلتهمْ﴾ يَعْنِي: الْمُشْركين ﴿من خلق السَّمَاوَات وَالأَرْضَ لَيَقُولُنَّ خَلَقَهُنَّ الْعَزِيزُ الْعَلِيمُ﴾
