from Ibn Abbas who said: "There is no year that has more rain than another year - or he said: water - but Allah directs it wherever He wills."

"Fa-anshorna bihi" (Then We revive with it) means: We bring back to life with it "baldatan maytan" (a dead land), which is the dry land that has no vegetation. "Kadhalika tukhrajun" (Thus will you be brought forth) means: Resurrection. Allah will send down a sperm-like rain, similar to the semen of men, from which their bodies and flesh will grow, just as the earth grows from the soil.
