'Nay, I gave these and their fathers enjoyment,' meaning: Quraish, I did not punish them, 'until the truth came to them, and a clear messenger,' Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Interpretation of Surah Az-Zukhruf from verse 31 to verse 33.
﴿بَلْ مَتَّعْتُ هَؤُلَاء وَآبَاءهُمْ﴾ يَعْنِي: قُريْشًا لم أعذبهم ﴿حَتَّى جَاءهُمُ الْحَقُّ وَرَسُولٌ مُّبِينٌ﴾ مُحَمَّد ﷺ.
