"And ask those We sent before you from among Our messengers." Some interpreted this to mean: this was on the night he was taken on the Night Journey (Isra').
﴿وَاسْأَلْ مَنْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِكَ من رسلنَا﴾ تَفْسِير بَعضهم: كَانَ هَذَا لَيْلَة أسرِي بِهِ.
