Tafsir al-Qur'an al-'Aziz by Ibn Abi Zamanin
Volume 4 · Page 685Surah al-Mursalat

Translation · EN

"And they will call out: O Malik," and he is the keeper of the Fire, an angel from among the angels, "let your Lord decree an end for us." Meaning: that He may cause us to die. They will call out to Malik, but he will not answer them for a period of eighty years, then Malik's answer to them will be: "Indeed, you are to remain."
