Allah said: "So turn away from them," and it is abrogated; it was abrogated by the commandment of fighting. "And say, 'Peace'," a word of forbearance, and that was also before he was commanded to fight them. "But you will come to know," on the Day of Resurrection, and it is a word of warning.
قَالَ الله: ﴿فاصفح عَنْهُم﴾ وَهِي منسوخةٌ نسختها الْقِتَال ﴿وَقُلْ سَلام﴾ كلمة حلمٍ، وَكَانَ ذَلِك أَيْضا قبل أَن يُؤمر بقتالهم ﴿فَسَوف تعلمُونَ﴾ يَوْم الْقِيَامَة، وَهِي كلمة وَعِيد.
